Privacy

The short version

Word Play Forever runs entirely in your browser. We don't have user accounts and we don't have a server that stores your gameplay. Your stats, settings, and game state live in your browser's local storage on the device you're using. The game itself sets no tracking cookies; our advertising partners may — see Advertising below.

What stays on your device

• Your game progress (current puzzle, guesses)
• Your stats (games played, win streaks, guess distribution)
• Your settings (hard mode, dark theme, high contrast, motion, confetti)

Clearing your browser's site data for this domain erases all of the above. We have no way to recover it.

What we don't do

• No social media pixels
• No email sign-ups or password databases
• No collecting or selling of personal data by us — the only data processing on this site is the advertising described below

Advertising

We display ads through third-party advertising partners (served via NitroPay). These partners may set cookies and similar identifiers and may collect data such as your device and browser type, approximate location, and browsing activity in order to measure and personalize the ads you see. Each partner processes this data under its own privacy policy.

If you are in a region covered by the GDPR, you will be asked for consent before non-essential advertising cookies are set, and you can review or change your choices at any time using the “Manage consent” link in the site footer.

Your California privacy rights

Sharing data with advertising partners to personalize ads may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). California residents can opt out using the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the site footer. Aside from the ad personalization described above, we do not sell your personal information.

Children

Word Play Forever is suitable for general audiences. Because we don't collect personal information from anyone, we don't knowingly collect personal information from children either.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
